American College of Sport Medicine (ACSM)
Nancy Havier started in the fitness industry back in 2007. She holds a BS in Recreational Therapy from Boston University and is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer. Nancy has also acquired additional education from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in Prenatal/Senior/Youth Training as well as their Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification. As a Corrective Exercise Specialist, she has successfully assisted in rehabilitating many of her clients from a wide range of injuries and limitations. Nancy’s passion to empower people to fulfill their positive health and fitness goals are enhanced by her credentials and her recent education in Physical Therapy Assistant coursework as well. In her work with clients, Nancy focuses on designing personalized programs for pain relief, weight loss, aerobic conditioning, functional training and rehabilitation (both pre and/or post surgery) both on land and/or pool. Her favorite exercise is dancing because it’s not only fun and great exercise, but it really helps with balance, body awareness/mechanics and coordination. In her free time she likes to visit family/friends, travel and bicycle. Nancy has also volunteered for the past ten years at the Boston Marathon medical tents by tending to runners’ medical needs.
