AMANDA VALLIMONT
Certification: National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
Amanda Vallimont is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She received her BA in English from Binghamton University and her Masters in Theological Studies from The Weston Jesuit School of Theology. Amanda is also a Certified Yoga Instructor, Assisted Stretch Therapist as well as a Reiki Master. She has over 10 years’ experience in the fitness and wellness industry and has been at Waverley Oaks since 2023 teaching yoga classes, MX4 as well as personal training.
Amanda enjoys working with anyone regardless of age or experience looking for everyday functional strength and movement improvements, increased flexibility/mobility, better balance/stability, weight loss and mental health relief. In her training with clients, she relies initially on correctional functional movement patterns to build a solid foundation for whatever goals her clients may have before moving onto focused strength training with free weights, bands, balls, TRX and good old fashioned body weight exercises.
Her favorite exercise is the goblet squat because of its effectiveness, application to everyday movements and accessibility to a greater number of people – especially those who may have some injuries/limitations or mobility challenges that limit the ability to do traditional barbell back squats.

AMANDA’S PHILOSOPHY ON TRAINING
Amanda believes that personal training is far more than sets and reps – it’s a path toward strength, self-awareness, and a life lived with greater intention. In training sessions, Amanda blends challenge with compassion. Clients are encouraged to meet themselves where they are, listen to their bodies, and move with purpose. Workouts are crafted to be both grounding and empowering, mixing strength work with mindful awareness so each person can tap into their own inner drive. The goal is not just to get stronger – it’s to feel more alive, more aligned, and more capable in everyday life.

TESTIMONIALS
As a member of Waverley Oaks since 2018, I enjoyed taking yoga classes twice a week with a teacher I really liked. When she relocated, another member recommended Amanda, and it took just one class for me to know I had found my match. Her classes have been life-changing. They are physically challenging, emotionally supportive, and accessible to a wide range of participants. In addition to being a skilled yoga teacher, Amanda is personable and has a wonderful sense of humor. When Amanda announced she would be offering personal training and Reiki sessions at the club, I knew she could provide the help I needed. My fitness level had declined over the past couple of years due to some physical issues, and once those were medically addressed, I was ready to rebuild my strength and improve my overall fitness. After just five training sessions with Amanda, I have already gained strength, flexibility, and a clear path forward toward my fitness goals. For Amanda, this is not just a job – it’s a vocation. That is what makes her such an exceptional teacher and trainer. – Maggie
