Thom Child and Family Services provides critical Early Intervention and related services to infants, toddlers, and their families.
Waltham Boys & Girls Club is a safe place for children & teens to learn and grow – all while having fun. It is the place where great futures are started each and every day. SUMMER CLOTHING DRIVE
We are thrilled to share that our Summer Clothing Drive was a huge success thanks to our incredibly generous members. Hundreds of items of clothing were collected for our neighbors in need, and the Community Day Center of Waltham was able to distribute the clothing to three organizations:
– Community Day Center of Waltham. A local non-profit organization dedicated to providing goods and services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The donations received from Waverley Oaks members were instrumental in the opening of their new “shop” (pictured) where Day Center clients can select new clothes at no charge.
– Veterans. The center provides much-needed clothing to support our veterans, showing them the gratitude and care they deserve.
– Neighbors Who Care. An organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults. Their thrift shop supports their mission: to reduce elder isolation/loneliness for seniors living in the greater Waltham area.

Educational Lecture Series
Our Team of Personal Trainers are always looking for ways to continue their education to better serve our members. We have linked on with Physical & Occupational Therapy at Massachusetts General Hospital Waltham for an Educational Lecture Series that will continue to equip our Personal Trainers with the necessary knowledge to continue to provide training programs to post-therapy clients – bridging the gap between rehabilitation and independent exercise. During this transition period, clients will continue to restore mobility/functionality, build strength, reduce chronic pain, and receive education on preventing re-injury.
The Educational Lecture Series will initially focus on shoulder, knee, and hip conditions. Future training sessions are planned for later this year to target additional common injury-prone areas.
