The Western Greenway 5K Trail Run/Walk

The Waltham Land Trust invites you to celebrate Halloween in the best way possible – moving through nature, in costume (if it’s safe to run in), and helping protect Waltham’s beautiful open spaces on Saturday, October 25th.
Since 2013, the Western Greenway 5K has brought together people of all ages to enjoy 3.1 miles of gorgeous fall scenery. The course winds through Beaver Brook North Reservation and Rock Meadow, with stunning views of cattail marshes, forests, vernal pools, and open meadows.

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 13th Annual Newton Turkey Trot! This beloved event has become a cherished tradition, attracting over 1,800 enthusiastic runners who come together to celebrate health, wellness, and community spirit.
The highlight of the day includes a scenic, USATF Certified 5K course, perfect for seasoned athletes and casual joggers alike, along with a fun-filled 1-mile kids’ run.

Community Day Center of WALTHAM
The Community Day Center of Waltham (CDCW) is a Waltham-based nonprofit that provides day shelter, practical assistance, and support services to adults experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in the MetroWest area. Its goal is not simply to provide temporary relief, but also to help people work toward greater stability and housing.

ONE LIGHT CONTINUES
The Dana Chang Foundation presents One Light Continues, its second biennial concert honoring Dana’s love of music and supporting the next generation of young musicians, on Sunday, Nov. 1st at 7:30 pm at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall.
Featuring violinist Keila Wakao ’24 Prep ’28, oboist Keisuke Wakao, and gayageum artist Young Sook Song, this special evening brings together beautiful music, inspiration, and remembrance to keep Dana’s light shining through the music of young artists.
