Protein-Packed Apple Pie Smoothie

It’s officially apple picking season, and this smoothie is the perfect way to put your harvest to good use.🍎 Blended with warm spices, it tastes just like apple pie while packing in protein and fiber for a satisfying, wholesome treat.

One quick tip: plan ahead and freeze your apples before blending. Frozen apples give this smoothie its rich, creamy texture – an essential step you won’t want to skip!

Ingredients

– 12 oz of milk of your choice

– 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt

– 2 medium apples, peel on, diced, frozen

– 1/3 cup rolled oats

– 1 tbsp walnut pieces

– 1 tsp ground cinnamon

– Pinch of nutmeg

– 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Directions

Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high until smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes.

Divide between two glasses and serve.
